Job Description
As the Chief Retail Officer, you will play a critical role in overseeing and driving the success of our retail operations. You will be responsible for managing the profit and loss (P&L) of our retail division, leveraging your extensive experience in retail revenue management. Your strategic vision, coupled with your ability to effectively manage a large-scale retail operation, will be essential in achieving our business objectives.
- P&L Management: Take ownership of the retail division’s financial performance, ensuring profitability and optimising revenue generation.
- Retail Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive retail strategy aligned with the company’s overall objectives, driving growth and market expansion.
- Store Operations: Oversee the efficient and effective operation of our 500+ stores nationwide, ensuring adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing retail team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Sales and Customer Experience: Drive sales growth by implementing innovative sales strategies and ensuring exceptional customer experiences across all retail channels.
- Vendor and Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating favourable terms to optimise operational efficiency and cost savings.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for business growth and market differentiation.
- Risk Management: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimise operational risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Proven track record of successful P&L management with significant retail revenue experience.
- Extensive experience in retail operations management, preferably overseeing a large-scale operation with 500+ stores nationwide.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve exceptional results.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute innovative retail strategies.
- Excellent analytic skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of industry best practices, market trends, and customer behaviour in the retail sector.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
